Buddhism is, as a philosophy of life to menage stress, a way to be well with ourselves and the environment. In an increasingly fast and competitive world , which forces us to assume .
However, as we well know, this spiritual tension translates into a worsening of health. From problems in the heart to the skin, stress manifests in our body in the most diverse ways.
Moreover, this rhythm of life prevents us from living the present moment, which is the only one that belongs to us.
That is why these four Buddhist keys can help you and reconcile with yourself.
1. You are responsible for yourself
It is no use to hold others accountable for our problems, for in the end, the act of liberation will always depend on ourselves. There is no savior who comes to seek us and to eliminate all evil.
Being conscious of this, we have to be able to take our limitations and learn to face the problems with them. It’s the only way the solutions are real.
2. The importance of the here and now
As we said, the present moment is the only one that belongs to us. Sometimes we have the bad tendency to live from the past or to be always waiting for what will come.
But is it worth living to see what is not here and now? Actually, the key to being calm and reducing anxiety is to be able to enjoy the present moment.
3. The value of non-attachment
If you fix your existence on things or people, you are cutting your freedom and gaining suffering. Things may or may not be more. People can react as you expect, or not.
Having life loaded with obsessive attachments, and trying to control what everyone else does around you , is the worst idea. You will carry, besides your own life, with the responsibility for everything that surrounds you.
4. You will fall into the same mistakes until you learn from them
If our actions are not correct, we will be creating a negative Karma (action-cause).
Buddhism understands that every person has the possibility to amend the mistakes that he makes, as long as he gets the right approach to the problem. But also that all action has consequences.
So if you feel that you are falling into a mistake you already made, you should sit for a moment, take a deep breath and think: How else can I approach this problem?
